Aftercare is VERY IMPORTANT!

Brushing  

When brushing your hair, always work from the bottom up supporting the hair at the bonds with one hand. Do not brush or comb hair upside-down. Use a specialist Extension brush. There are some great products available that you can use daily if required that will enhance the look of you extensions that I can advise you on.

Although the hair extensions are real hair, they are not attached to the scalp and will not receive the same nutrients and oils as your natural hair.

Washing

Remove all tangles prior to shampooing. When washing, The most important tip is to keep the hair going straight down your back, this is best done standing in a shower.

We recommend using a shampoo with a Ph balance of les than 5. Dilute the shampoo and apply it with the palm of your hands in a downwards motion, Use your fingers in a horizontal motion in between extensions to cleanse scalp. Do not mix hair together, do not wash hair upside-down, do not use a circular motion to lather hair, do not use hot water. Do not pile the extensions on top of your head as you would your own hair.

Apply a good conditioner as normal taking care to avoid the bonds.

When rinsing, rinse thoroughly making sure all residues are rinsed out, rinse with cool water.

Do not use shampoos that contain oils or fruit acids, such as wheat germ or citrus as using these products could result in damaging your extension bonds.

* If you swim regularly or are planning a holiday whilst wearing your extensions I recommend that when swimming in the sea or swimming pool, you wear a protective cap as the chemicals in the pool or salt levels in the sea may affect your extensions.

Drying  

Gently squeeze excess water from the hair with a towel, do not rub.

Apply a small amount of leave in conditioner, comb through using a wide tooth comb, starting from the bottom and working upwards, always supporting the bonds. Blow-dry as normal.

When dry use your hair straighteners to achieve that glossy salon finish.

At bed-time, braid your hair into a loose ponytail to the side or wear a night cap. Do not sleep with wet hair.


Failure to adhere to these directions will shorten the life-span of you hair extensions.

Please pay special attention to the Washing instructions, if you do not follow these, your extensions can matt and tangle. The more care you take with your extension Hair the longer it will last.
